Truth to be told, I do spend lots of time outside in the winter, even in temperatures like -20C to -25C, and I do get sweaty. But I don’t actually work outside, so I can’t comment on that aspect.

Not if you work outside. Being outdoors when it’s cold is so much worse. You still sweat, except in the cold, the sweat crystalizes and freezes you, and the only way to get warm is to change clothes. Good luck doing that if you’re working.
The winter is “better” for people who only look at it from the inside and maybe spend 10 minutes in it a week.

This is true too, to some extent. -30C/+30C are both bad.
But heat is worse. If it’s cold, you can always add more clothes and turn up the radiators. But if it’s too hot, what are you going to do? Walk around naked in the deafening whirring of fans? Adding AC will increase energy usage, worsening the global problem.
