That’s actually a legitimate horse gait.
Though the transition from standing pose probably could’ve been done better here.

I think that’s just the transition from the old 3Q pose to the profile animation, since they still used 3Q angles with only one eye showing. Besides the the mane though, he is also missing a wing in the 3Q pose which appears in the profile one.
