People get some strange sudden urges sometimes. When I was in the scouts, I knew a boy who had a sudden urge to bleach his hair blonde. Trouble was, he did it using a bottle of Domestos, undiluted. He spent about the next 6 months growing back his hair and his scalp.
Yeah, it’s like that when it’s for beards. But the legs and chest are places that are always being gently rubbed by clothing, they aren’t fully ventilated, and there’s just so much area… That’s the real bad thing about shaving them, apart from how long it takes and teasing from your peers.
Itchy? I only get days of itching when I don’t shave. Maybe thats just a beard thing. I’ve never shaved my arms or chest so I wouldn’t know the side effects of shaving those.
Oh, it’s not bad by any means. Feels great with that refreshing smoothness. But damn, it was so itchy for the first few days.
Well, that smooth feeling does kind of make it worth it, as a person who shaves regularly I know how awesome that feels.
In my defense, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
You just had a sudden urge to shave your legs and chest?
I don’t know about that. But the other week I randomly shaved off my chest and leg hair. I don’t know why, but my legs were hella smooth.
I remember back when I thought my hairiness was soooooo awesome, but the tape and electrodes were enought to made me start to contemplate shaving my arms and chest regularly (you never know when you might end up in the hospital). I decided against it just ’cause I love how soft my chest hair is, also I think I look better with arm hair, though I might shave some of it off if I ever have to go to the hospital again.
Has anyone else had any bad experiences with hospital tape? I remember the first time I had pancreatitis, the doctors used some kind of adhesive on my arm tape, but it was in really tiny bottles, tiny like gummy cola possibly tinier, and they had to rub it onto my skin which still made it hurt a little.
Also I remember one time I asked a nurse if any patients had ever asked to be shaved while in the hospital, and apparently no one ever had. Is there a sense of shame in asking to be shaved in the hospital? Does it just seem awkward? Does it just feel wrong to ask people with medical degrees to shave you?
(Wow this was a long)
You call that hairy? I had more hair than that when I was 12. :P (I’m in my 30s now…)
But seriously, you have my sympathies. Anyone who can put up with sensors and IVs cannulas being stuck all over their body has spectacular patience. :)
ouch.

I feel your pain.

As someone who is very hairy, believe me - it’s really painful when any hair gets ripped out. xD (It’s happened to me enough times by accident)
Or watch it
*does so*
I added the “fuzznums” tag to the images dm29 has done in this new artstyle.
So that means if you don’t like it, you can hide it.
New Jersey here.
Not in California. I never changed.

I’m in ’Murica and we change for PE class in my high school.
Yeah, we wore quite a thick, warm PE kit (being in British weather), so having it on under a similarly heavy school uniform would be too much. That’s pretty much standard for all UK schools, I believe.
You changed for P.E. class back in high school? We were required to wear ours underneath.
Yeah, like some mean kids do when getting changed for P.E. class.
Mean boy: Hey look, you’ve got a chest hair! =pluck=
Boy just starting puberty: OW!
What if that was a sign of his puberty, and Twilight just removed it? What if there was a more adult-themed one with something else going on involving puberty and puberty-removal?
I think I’m going to make myself puke from that thought.
