The ponies respect me as if I am one of their own people, and have always treated me well- I felt it was time to honour their unending friendship by trying out a more pony-like manestyle, and go among them without clothing, just as they do themselves… Even if it does fluster you humans on occasion haha!”
“Besides, I still wear the heirloom earring that has been in my family for countless generations, something that while appearing plain to most species, any giraffe will recognise it immediately as a signifier of my noble lineage. Unlike the Zebras, we have very little gold, so we normally wear silver. By the Great Mother, the ponies have gold as their standard currency, something utterly unthinkable back in the savannah.”
“But, my friend, enough of all that- I need a male opinion… Am I still desirable like this? Do I look pretty? Would you like to lift my tail and ravish me, right here and now?”
“You do not need to answer that question, we both know the answer to that one- you proved that to me last night multiple times, did you not?”

Hey everyone,
Yes, this is a bit lewder than most of my stuff, flavour-text wise anyway, but this is just how Lady Imani is. Gentle, intelligent, and always willing to do the very best for her people, but she is also an inveterate xenophile who is always ready for “fun…”
As I have mentioned in her OC Insights entry, Lady Imani’s people, the United Giraffe Tribes, are of an ultra-conservative religious viewpoint, and consider sexual liaisons with non-giraffes as heresy of high order, so as much as Lady Imani loves her people deeply, she is regarded very poorly among them, especially within the older generations.
However, the more youthful and progressive-minded giraffes are finding their ancient culture stifling and smothering, and are leaving Zebrica in increasing numbers, tending to find their way to Equestria- small communities of them gathering in some of the larger Equestrian cities. The largest community of expatriated giraffes is to be found in Manehattan, where Lady Imani lives when she is not working in Canterlot.
I redesigned Imani fairly extensively for this pic- having rebalanced her colour palette, lightening her spots, giving her a new mane and tail, adding an earring, and darkening her muzzle as is more appropriate for a giraffe. Honestly, I feel that this should have been the way I should originally have depicted her,and I will be updating her OC Insights entry with this image and some extended lore.
Yes, this opens the way for more giraffe OCs on my painfully swollen character roster… FML! XD
