When Giant Ponies and Creatures Attack - Season 2 Episode 10 - Lightning Dust at Full Power! The Energy Within!
Summary: Rainbow Dash and her friends encounter her rival, Lightning Dust, in Fort Lauderdale, who has gotten huge once again. Lightning Dust has also received full power and Rainbow Dash must unleash a Sonic Rainboom to finish her off.
22 days have passed since Moon Dancer redeemed herself in Chicago. Now, after training as hard as she could for three weeks straight in Equestria, Twilight Sparkle has returned to the real world with her friends. In the world populated by humans and other species, the reality world has been safe while Twilight and her friends are gone.
Currently afternoon, Twilight Sparkle and her friends are in Fort Lauderdale. The city was still a happy one which was safe, at least for now.
“Glad you’ve saved Chicago, sugarcube! I haven’t any good news since I recovered from my fight with Autumn Blaze in Shanghai that occurred over three weeks ago.” Applejack was proud that Twilight succeeded her previous mission without her friends involved.
“And not just me, it was also some old friends of mine from Canterlot.” Twilight Sparkle tells Applejack, letting the latter know that she wasn’t the only one who defeated Moon Dancer.
“Old friend of yours from Canterlot?” Rainbow Dash asked suspiciously.
Twilight Sparkle nods before she replies, answering Rainbow’s question, “That’s right. They’re ponies I’ve known before moving to Ponyville and I met you all one at a time. I always remembered having very few friends in Canterlot before leaving that place and moving in Ponyville. Kinda frustrating.”
“But you still mean everything to us all, even if we don’t always go on adventures together all the time. Just because you do something alone without us doesn’t mean it’ll hurt our friendship.” Fluttershy said, believing in Twilight and she would still be a friend either way.
“And at least we are together again, seeing there’s hope everywhere all over the world.” Pinkie Pie shouts excitedly while she performs a cartwheel in front of the other ponies.
“I’m surprised that the evil alicorns haven’t turned anyone evil while we remained in Equestria for more than twenty-one days.” Twilight Sparkle remembers that Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon and two other evil alicorns have been doing something else during this whole time. “In case any evil giants come, be prepared, alright?”
“We heard you very clear, darling.” Rarity replies, having understood Twilight’s words about staying prepared for the next battle against another evil giant, whether or not it is someone from their side or another villain doing favors for the evil alicorns who are still somewhere where their whereabouts can’t be located.
The Mane Six continue walking through the sidewalks as they carefully avoid bumping into any humans who pass by.
Fluttershy feels so shy, wondering why she has never seen Fort Lauderdale before now. She is having a feeling that she compares it with some other cities. “You girls know something? Fort Lauderdale reminded me of Miami for the beaches.” Fluttershy told her friends.
“Oh? Is that so?” Applejack laughs out loud over Fluttershy commenting about how similar Miami and Fort Lauderdale are.
“And beaches aren’t the only thing those cities have in common. They even have palm trees and pretty much the same weather almost every month, although Miami is usually hotter than Fort Lauderdale.” Pinkie Pie told Fluttershy, adding more things that the two cities the shy yellow pegasus pony just mentioned share as well.
“Why, thanks. I haven’t even noticed that.” Fluttershy appreciates Pinkie for giving her some more information about both Fort Lauderdale and Miami. “I know Florida is such a tropical place, I’m not afraid to live here, if I ever wanted to.”
“Yeah, I really wanna come back to this city with some other Wonderbolts soon and take them to a beach.” Rainbow Dash thought about bringing some Wonderbolts for a trip to the beach the next time she visited the wonderful Fort Lauderdale.
Rainbow Dash’s friends all cheer on and wish her the best luck with that.
It may be happiness for the Mane Six so early, that all changed when they heard a loud explosion happening just from a few buildings behind them.
“Where on earth was that kaboom sound all of a sudden right now?” Rarity wondered.
The Mane Six are eventually hearing the citizens and tourists screaming and panicking, which could probably mean that there’s someone attacking the city, but it is not clear who, though. Twilight Sparkle and her friends have heard yet another explosion that has happened in three buildings.
“Great, this is just great… Thought we could avoid dealing with this mess again.” Pinkie Pie said with an annoyed expression, finding it ridiculous that they must keep dealing with evil giants over and over again.
Rainbow Dash soon heard a laughter so deep that it was coming from behind her. When she turned around, she was in shock that it was Lightning Dust, who is giant-sized for the third time. Lightning’s eyes were red as she had drunk a dark potion earlier that was added as a mixture with some growth along with that.
Lightning Dust slowly walked through the streets, crushing and knocking over building with her hooves, which were powerful enough to shake the ground twice as painful.
The evil pegasus cackles loudly as she doesn’t care for anything but seeing people dying, buildings, vehicles and other objects being destroyed and being stepped on underneath her hooves, as well as seeking on Rainbow Dash even further.
“Bow down to the most powerful pegasus that ever walked the land, Lightning Dust! Yeah, run and scream, realizing it’s hopeless!” Lightning Dust said to the running tinies as she fired lasers from her eyes, aiming at random buildings left and right, increasing her destruction more bigger. “I’m gonna make you all pay the price with a death wish granted!”
“How is she always finding ways to keep getting beyond my level?” Rainbow Dash wondered why her arch-nemesis keep becoming a giant and take her revenge on her.
“Guess we gotta teach her another lesson.” Twilight Sparkle told her friends, who all nod and agreed that they should teach Lightning Dust a lesson that will hopefully work this time. “She will learn this time.”
Twilight and the gang go and chase after the giant rampaging and destructive Lightning Dust, who has walked past them and left huge hoofprints on the ground.
With Lightning Dust making sure that her plans will succeed and not mess up, she fired her eye lasers at several buildings across her, which soon caught on fire and other buildings she fired ended up exploding afterwards.
“I’m not showing any mercy, you useless insects! Keep running as much as you please, I’m still enough to crush you all underneath my hooves as much as I wish!” Lightning Dust told the tinies as she soon kept catching up with them and soon she would get her hooves on the humans real fast.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department arrived at the scene and officers got out of their cars and point several guns at the massive pegasus as she approached even more closer to them.
“Don’t make another move! Stop where you are at, you big horse!” Officer Thompson ordered Giant Lightning Dust to stop herself and stand still so he and his fellow officers could arrest her. “You’re under arrest for what you’ve done!”
“Ugh, not this act again…!” Lightning Dust said, frustrated that she had to deal with the police officers for the second time, sick of seeing police officers interfering with her plans.
“We don’t care how big you are, you have no choice but to surrender and turn yourself in, now!” Officer Thompson warned Lightning Dust that he and his crew will open fire if she didn’t comply with his orders.
Lightning Dust smirked evilly at the humans, taking herself a moment and realize that the police officers just never get how large she was compared to the rest.
“Do you really think that you pathetic officers can put me in jail?” Lightning Dust asked the officers, figuring out that capturing a giant is not the easy part. “I have just maximum power that will eradicate you all in one swoop!”
“That’s it, you asked for it!” Officer Thompson got pushed to the limits and he ordered his fellow police officers to shoot and fire at the massive-sized pegasus for defying him.
The officers fire several shots at Lightning Dust, with the bullets hitting her front legs. However, they all gasp when they notice nothing is working on her and that whatever attack they are using is hopeless.
Now, unable to understand that they must pay the price for standing in her way, Lightning Dust, who is at full power, flapped her wings, creating gusts of winds and sending the officers away, and making them fall to the ground as they couldn’t keep up their balance.
Lightning Dust eventually fired three lasers at the entire FLPD team and her huge lasers caused an explosion, killing all officers who stood on the ground, the cars destroyed, too.
The pegasus flapped her wings down and land on the ground, standing on all four hooves again and watched as the entire police officer squad have been turned into nothing but ashes. She acted briefly calm before she resumed her walk, shaking the ground with each step that touched with a booming sound coming from her hooves.
“I was born to kill, born to make thunder, born to be a bad mare!” Lightning Dust said while she stepped on multiple buildings below her, which left a crunching sound and they eventually collapsed and have been destroyed, no longer the way they were.
Rainbow Dash and her friends witnessed the massacre Lightning Dust caused all across Fort Lauderdale, seeing that there’s something inside the evil giant pegasus that is making her extremely at the maximum level.
“Girls, you gotta stay put! Leave her to me!” Rainbow Dash told her friends as she go after Lightning Dust on her own, and she suggested her friends stay out of danger.
Fluttershy turns and looks at Applejack asking, “Do you think she’ll be able to do it by herself?”
“I’m not sure. I mean Lightning and Rainbow have always been enemies from the very start, and has remained that way since.” Applejack replies, giving Fluttershy enough info about what she thinks will happen to Rainbow Dash if she fights the evil giant alone.
Rainbow Dash flies towards her huge arch-nemesis, preparing to stop her enemy from destroying Fort Lauderdale any further.
“HEY, LIGHTNING DUST!!!” Rainbow Dash shouted out for Lightning’s name.
“Is that the voice I think it is?” Lightning Dust wonders as she stops herself upon her name being called out from behind her. “I always gotta be dealing with this mess every one after the next mess… Just every mess on my hooves…”
“You’re fighting me, and only me! I’m the one and only pony who can put up a fight with you!” Rainbow Dash told Lightning Dust, brave enough to handle her nemesis.
Lightning Dust turns her head back at Rainbow Dash with an angry glare on her face.
“What would’ve been better is if you and your friends quit getting in the way of my plans all the time. You just keep ruining every single one of them.” Lightning Dust looked really annoyed when she always had to look at Rainbow Dash directly in her face. Rainbow Dash felt the same thing.
“Sorry, my enemy, but you gotta stop hurting these people, and I’m doing this the hard way, whether you like it or not!” Rainbow dares to challenge Lightning again.
Although this is angering her very fast, Lightning Dust still accepted Rainbow’s choice, replying with another glare, “Fine, as you wish. But just to let you know, I’m at full power and you won’t be catching up with my powers, loser! I’m tired of losing to you, Rainbow!”
Rainbow Dash, acting more boastful and confident in herself, was already prepared.
“I hope you’re ready to taste my dust because it sweep you real good!” Lightning Dust warned her enemy that she was not playing around and she will get her hooves on Rainbow Dash if it would be the last thing she ever did.
“And I hope you are ready to have another a taste of my power!” Rainbow Dash smirks at Lightning Dust, crossing her hooves and knows what her objective is: defeat Lightning Dust!
The larger pegasus flapped her wings into the air and she was making sure that this next fight between her and Rainbow Dash ends with the latter losing and finally accepting defeat in the very end.
“Oh, dear, I can’t watch this fight…” Fluttershy turns her face around, worrying about what will happen to Rainbow Dash during her battle against Lightning Dust.
With the war between Lightning Dust and Rainbow Dash absolutely heated, everyone from down below were watching and they knew that Rainbow Dash must not give and save Fort Lauderdale and end the destruction Lightning Dust has caused from the start.
Charging herself up at full power and speed combined together, Rainbow Dash needed to make sure she would stay focused on whatever Lightning Dust was gonna do and must make sure she didn’t get hurt.
First, Lightning Dust fired her eye lasers at the smaller pegasus, but Rainbow managed to avoid her dangerous attack she unleashed right now.
“Not bad for a pony who keeps claiming she can always surpass me regarding how much power I achieve. I congratulate you for that.” Lightning Dust praised the smaller pegasus for showing such fightback and not running away like a little baby.
“There’s plenty more from where that came from.” Rainbow Dash responds back.
Lightning Dust definitely was fed up with Rainbow Dash running her big mouth every time she’s around her. “You should learn when to stop opening up your mouth, Rainbow! Silence, silence!” Lightning Dust yelled, suggesting Rainbow Dash kept herself shut, otherwise she’ll be forced to do it in case Rainbow refused.
“The only way to shut me up is to catch me! Come on, kiss my flank!” Rainbow Dash told Lightning Dust, angering the bigger pegasus even more like never before.
“Alright, fine then! I’m happy to kiss your flank just like you wish!” Lightning Dust said.
“Chase me as much as you can, you forgot I’m the fastest pony alive, and you can never go pass my speed limit! Not now, not ever! You never will!” Rainbow Dash began flying her way, allowing the much bigger pegasus flying after her, thus the chase began.
With a fight happening in the air, nobody would be so sure about where this is all going and it will not be safe for anyone, unless they can get away from the fight.
Rainbow Dash flew fast enough to get behind Lightning Dust and she easily kicked her in the back so quick at full power that it pushed Lightning Dust back a bit.
“Blast it, I was caught off guard there!” Lightning Dust said to herself, feeling herself not reading Rainbow’s moves and speed correctly. “I won’t fall for that again! I can’t keep letting that dumb pegasus outclassing me! This won’t be happening for a second time! Never, never!”
Lightning Dust attempts a kick in midair towards Rainbow Dash, but she easily flies fast enough in time before she could even be kicked in the face. Angered, Lightning Dust flies after her, but Rainbow Dash just keeps on moving more quicker than her each time.
“Why can’t you stay still and let me kill you?” Lightning Dust wondered why Rainbow Dash just won’t quit moving.
“Because I’ve already told you, I’m the fastest pony alive! You know you can never keep up with my speed, even if you’re bigger than me, and don’t you forget that, Lightning!” Rainbow Dash reminded her enemy that just because the latter was huge didn’t mean her speed would be faster Rainbow’s, it would decrease her speed.
Next, Rainbow Dash, while staying still, closed her eyes for a moment and then, the presence of yellow aura surrounded Rainbow Dash’s whole body. Her powers started increasing dramatically.
Lightning Dust was confused where did Rainbow Dash get this such power from, until she noticed Rainbow’s mane and tail changing into yellow and her eyes turning green.
Thus, Rainbow Dash became a Super Pony, and therefore now known under this form as Super Rainbow Dash. Everyone from the ground reacted in shock upon seeing Rainbow’s appearance having changed, something they never ever saw before up until this point.
“What in tarnation?” Applejack took her hat off and saw Rainbow’s mane and tail in different colors for the first time in her entire life. “I’ve never seen her in that form!”
“Her mane, her tail… They’re both yellow!” Fluttershy was surprised when she saw Rainbow Dash transforming into her Super Pony form, which is something like she never ever imagined in her dreams.
“It seems that Rainbow Dash is finally serious, and she’s about to finish this off for good!” Rarity told Pinkie Pie, who listened very carefully and agreed to what Rainbow was doing.
“Kick Lightning’s huge flank, Rainbow! She needs a whooping!” Pinkie Pie cheered and shouted for Rainbow Dash, counting on her the best luck with whatever she can to win and not give up at all. “We’re all hoping you win and defeat your enemy!”
Hearing her friends’ words and advice of victory, Rainbow Dash fully kept her promised for everybody that she will defeat Lightning Dust with no problem.
Rainbow Dash went at full speed and struck Lightning Dust five times more powerful than a regular attack. She easily kicked and punched Lightning Dust several times, sending the giant evil pegasus pony back, damaging her.
“You were able to scratch me that badly, and for that, you’ll pay dearly.” Lightning Dust would make sure that she get her hooves on Rainbow Dash and terminate her life fully.
Lightning Dust tried to make her next move, but unfortunately, it was too late. Rainbow Dash was up in the air even more and came down with a Super Sonic Rainboom, which was more powerful than a normal Sonic Rainboom. Once she unleashed it, her super devastating attack struck Lightning Dust completely, damaging her even more.
Suddenly, the giant evil pegasus was completely defeated and started shrinking as the Super Sonic Rainboom eventually took her down to the ground. When Lightning Dust came back on the ground, looking determined to fight even more, she realized there’s no point of fighting Rainbow Dash any longer.
Shocked and being afraid of Rainbow Dash for what she’s shown her, Lightning Dust knows that she is given a choice to either leave the city permanently and never return, or she continues fighting with Rainbow Dash and face the consequences.
“I’m not in the mood to continue this fight anymore! Just give up. The battle’s over. I told you that you will not win the fight.” Rainbow Dash suggests that Lightning Dust leaves Fort Lauderdale and get out of her sight, or face the other option she will not like. “Either this, or you keep me fighting me until you have no fightback inside you left. Choose quickly before I choose for you!”
“Fine, I give up. You win!” Lightning Dust said in anger, finally accepting her fate and admit defeat once more, always ashamed of herself losing every time. “But just remember this, Rainbow Dash… When we meet again, things will be different. This won’t be the last time you’d ever see me, I know that for a fact!”
Flying away with frustration, Lightning Dust promised Rainbow Dash she will end her life.
“Man, where did you ever get that new transformation from?” Rarity asked Rainbow Dash, curious to know how Rainbow Dash has attained a new powerful form recently.
Rainbow Dash explained her reason to her friends about her new power, stating, “When I had my eyes closed, I felt this new aura within me that changed my mane and tail into yellow and turned my eyes into green. Therefore, I became a Super Pony!”
“Whoa! Now that’s something epic and also new!” Twilight Sparkle said with a surprised look on her face, noticing Rainbow’s latest power up being a very great form. “I gotta know more about this… Maybe I can achieve it one day!”
“You might. For now, let’s get moving.” Rainbow Dash told Twilight Sparkle, as they, along with four other ponies, began leaving Fort Lauderdale and head back into their own world.
