How long is a moon here? Every use I’ve seen puts a moon at 1 year at most, and 12 years seems too short for how much older the others were by “The Last Problem”.

Was this meant that Twilight’s friends were dead by the time Opaline acted (explaining why they couldn’t use the Elements against her)? 12 years seems to short a time to die of old age especially if Twi was just 17. (If ponies age way faster than normal for fanon this might work.)
