But we won’t.
Then I’ll walk away and let her figure it out from there.
Mostly I’m just wishing I could see if this obsession is still going strong in another 5/10/etc years. I wonder how many people who were “married” to Sephiroth back in the 90’s have filed for divorce by now :P
He thinks he’s in a relationship with someone he’ll never meet. He is only a dimensional boundary away from being a stalker.
You make it too easy, Randomosaur! I’ll focus on an opponent that’s worth responding to like the Background Pony above unlike you.
@Background Pony
Oh no, I have been observing ORS for about four months out of interest because he’s unique. I have observed him to no extend and has shown considerable passion for Rarity during my browsing of Derpibooru and concluded that he sincere all right. I have come to accept that his love of Rarity is true to his heart and you will to if he have been here long enough. The prejudice that you hold, though understand who have only been here for a short stay, will dissolve in time when you get used to the idea. Rationality will take over and the passion that you have acquired over what this contigent society has thought you will pass. Please, although initially you may react to what you were inexplicably thought, take the time to just think about what you are saying. Does your position really represent what you feeling? Everyone originates with a stance representive of their society but you can arise above that. Think about it. Does your hate for ORF originate from yourself or what you were thought? Logically, ORF is sound. You’re are dedicating yourself that what you taught is authoritative. Take some time off and think about it.
Consider for a moment, that he’ll never meet the real Rarity. All he’s got is an idealized version spawned from the most desperate pits of his mind. Love can not form between people who cannot and will not ever interact.
You are not in love with or committed to a Unicorn though. There is no Rarity, there is no relationship, it is all an invention of an incredibly desperate mind reaching out for companionship but not truly wanting to be in a relationship. You have deluded yourself into believing that you are in love with and are loved by a creature that does not exist in this world and likely never will. There has never been a Rarity, not in this world. Even if there was, she’d probably either look to marry a celebrity or royalty or try to find her way back home, not spend time with a delusional fanboy who thinks he’s more of a catch than he really is. She’s generous, not stupid.
This would be funny if it wasn’t so disturbing. I really have nothing to compare this to… I guess you’re imagining that ORF’s situation is similar to Shephard and Tali hooking up in the Mass Effect Universe (she even has hooves). They’re from two different worlds, right? Problem is… Rarity is a fictional character… animated in Flash. She is nothing more than a creation of the mind. Obsessive Rarity Fan’s name says it all. It is indeed an OBSESSION. You can say that “love has no boundaries” all you want but love is NOT one sided. There has to be two parties involved and I’m afraid that for your friend’s case, there is not.
If he passes on his genes, we can have stupid people to laugh at in the future!
Not to mention that it’s LUST, not love.
Since when did the definition of love necessiates that love be of a creature of this world? Where is your argument that your current perception reality has segregated that only a certain kind of creature of can be love? One must admit that love transcends all boundaries because love doesn’t discrimate which is by the very definition boundless. To be attacted to a being of similar biological makeup is normal, to be attracted to being of defference foreign to one’s residence is laudable. By imposing that ‘tis wrong to love someone who isn’t part of your species is to enforce your own theory of what is a good life to someone else’s. Regardless of the subject at hand, you are committing to a delusional position that you hold the moral authority to not only pass but enforce your judgment on others. What ever happen to liberty I ask you? Should Rarity’s fiance be left to his own device, to choose his fiancee as he pleases despite the limitations? How dare you tell him that you’re worried about him, treating as a child that has no independence. What makes you the moral authority, huh? Just the thought of telling another what to do and think as if he is superiori just makes my blood boil.
Having pondered your question, I must respond with utmost sincerity that I concluded there is absolutely nothing wrong with being completely in love and committed to a unicorn.
If he’s your friend you wouldn’t encourage that. He needs to wake up to reality, not hide from it.
You are overvaluing a fictional relationship. That’s not love, that’s infatuation, obsession. Rarity is not real. Even if she was, she’d probably be more interested in getting back to Equestria than making out with a shaved ape. There is nothing healthy or sane about your infatuation with Rarity. Especially since the version you claim to love is an idealized fictional version of her created by your own mind. Don’t you think there’s something wrong with that?
“Lady Rarity” doesn’t exist. Get some help… That is NOT normal.
It’s a long story, but suffice it so say she loves me as much as I do her and she here on earth entirely of her own will.
As for the final part of your comment I’ll accept “strange” as a compliment, but pitiful? No, I must disagree with you there for there is nothing pitiful at all about being in a loving relationship with such a radiant and lovely creature as Lady Rarity.
You can’t be serious. Rarity is a fictional being. To even insinuate that you had summoned a probably 150-200 pound magical unicorn that only has eyes for you is an act of delusion. And on top of that, even if you did, pulling her out of her homeworld would cause untold chaos and despair throughout their entire world. And furthermore, why would a magical unicorn with aspirations towards affluence and success settle for someone like you?
Face it, if Poe’s Law doesn’t apply to your situation, then you are a very strange and pitiful person.
