He’d probably work better being a combination of Derpy and Scrat. “FROOOOGEEEEH” instead of “Muuuuffins~”
Well, that’s ‘cause you’re one of the few sane Sonic fans online. I’m a Sonic fan myself, and honestly I had ALOT of bad experiences with Sonic fans online. Especially on DA, I remember a few banned me from their DA pages, just because I liked the official Sonic comic book series, and they didn’t. (Alot of Sonic fans treat you like crap if you like something Sonic-related they don’t, or if you don’t agree with their favorite ‘shipping, or something.)
@Prof.NightJack
Same here actually. I don’t really hate Sonic Underground, but I don’t really love it either. (In fact, it’s probably my least favorite Sonic toon.) Still, it had some enjoyable moments, I admit. Though, I’d rather this new “Sonic Boom” show be as far from SU as possible.
Also, Knuckles (in his few appearances in the show, one of the saving graces of SU) was voiced by Ian James Corlett. Who happens to be Clair Corlett’s father.
Does this mean Knuckles is Sweetie Belle’s daddy? :P
What I’d like to see for a new Sonic cartoon would be one featuring characters from the games, and perhaps the old SatA.M. show and/or comics, but make it like a new continuity/canon, so it doesn’t have to be weighed down by the limitations of the games, or old TV series. (But it can have some story adaptions from the games, and stuff.) Basically mix some old things, with new things, and maybe like the comics bring back some obscure Sonic characters like Nack. (From “Triple Trouble”)
I think that would be a pretty cool show if done like that, but still I can live without the SatA.M. characters like Sally, even though I do like them.
Oh yeah, and it’s gatta have Big the cat randomly fishing in the background of several scenes for no real reason. :P (Make him like the show’s “Derpy”)
Ya, I know….
I found to many things to bug me about Underground for me to really enjoy it but I don’t hate it like some do.
it’s funny how sonic brother and sister was voiced by the same actor while when they start a musical they have different vocal singers which never made sense too me.i mean why have three character’s being voiced by an actor even though they should’ve had a actress too play the sister.
I hope it will be good.
>sonic underground in modern time
Umm… only if any songs fits in with what’s going on, not just shoved in, you know like the only one in the right place, the one in the first episode, and it doesn’t just use clips from the episode that we already saw.
Alright Thanks for the tip Nightjack,Speaking of Which What do you expect in sonic boom? it’d be pretty funny too see a sonic underground in modern time since dave polsky is known too make alot of music based cartoons, like buzz on maggie ,class of 3000 but he also did that scary movie sequel which wasn’t good in my opinion compared to the first.
If you joking then please make an attempt to hint at that, you can’t tell with plane text.
Try using something like one word in italics.
i was joking cause i already know it’s some of them complaning while other’s are really intrested, but if sega is making a cartoon on sonic i hope it’s not centered around earth just make it around something like cd or something in general.
Please do not generalize, yes it’s what most may do but it sure as hell isn’t all of them.
You don’t see me acting like them.
that’s sonic fan’s for ya
Man, there was a really huge disconnect between American and Japanese sides back then. Heh, if I were NoJ I would have gone nuts with the merch like NoA did. That explains why there were so few japanese fansites. Also I haven’t played/heard of any of those since I didn’t go with the DS. PSP 4 lyf!
I actually knew that since almost a year ago, but now I consider them adopted….. XD
Although, it’s said it’s no longer considered “canon,” that the Koopalings are Bowser’s kids now, and Bowser Jr. is is only kid. Apparently, that’s because supposedly in Japan they were never considered that, and that was apparently a “localized” thing Nintendo of America came up with, I guess. (In fact, they didn’t even have names in SMB3 in Japan, until they gave them in “Super Mario World” their American names.)
So apparently there was pretty much no official backstory for the Koopalings, but if you wish to think of them as King Koopa’s kids, then there’s no harm in that either.
….Well, at the risk (and benefit) of enraging mothers’ groups everywhere.
RON JEREMY (at least for the live action portions)
and then just overdub
Dude, Lou Albano died in October of 09.
They should rehire Lou Albano and Danny Wells and just start making new episodes picking straight up after Galaxy as if the original DiC cartoon never ended. There’s a ridiculous amount of new characters in the Mario universe now, it could be like the turtle&mushroom version of MLP. Also be a good excuse to bring back the Koopalings who have been strangely absent the past decade.
Perhaps, but they could easily write-it-off as an alternate canon/universe from the games, so it wouldn’t contridict the games, or set their “backstory” in stone. Or they could just keep the show simple, and not ever mention Mario’s backstory, and such.
In fact, the previous Mario cartoons/movie are pretty much an alternate canon anyways, (even with the references to the games) seeing as how the games never stated Mario & Luigi were from Brooklyn, and never even considered them “plumbers.” (Aside from a few spin-off games like Super Mario RPG.) Considering they still sell the old campy Mario cartoons on DVD in stores, I don’t see what’s preventing a new Mario show from being made.
Pretty much every Sonic cartoon/comic is considered a different canon from the games anyways. So it’s really not uncommon when it comes to TV show/comic adaptions.
i want to qoute what anouma said from yesterday:We need to evolve, things need to change, things need to grow, cause honestly miyamoto doesn’t seem to do new thing’s for mario aside from having new power up’s and new music and some new levels and i’m hoping we have an animated mario cartoon that seems canon to the games since the games in general don’t really have a story.
With Mario, I kinda understand Nintendo’s position. An animated series or comic book would require well defined stories and dialogue, which just seems so contrary to the nature of Mario games. Mega Man and Sonic both have games that are more story driven and characterization based, so it works for them.
It doesn’t help matters that, (from what I read in other sites too), apparently Nintendo turned down Archie Comics not one, but several times about it, they’re still scared they’ll come out like The Dic ones, cheesy, but good, but not to everyone around, and it doesn’t help either that Miyamoto is serious about “Mario has no background” policy, and the fact that Miyamoto wants for each player to come up with a story for Mario, but at least he indirectly inspired people to write some Good Mario Fanfics, but still, I want another Mario Animated Series, it’ll make my life fulfilled……
I’d kinda like for the atmosphere to be in the vein of Sonic Adventure 2, with the action being serious and most of the humor coming from characters interacting with each other.
