She’s a generic high school bully type villain, and her motivations amount to “I wanted friends, so I acted like as much of a miserable cunt as possible”. She’s generally not fun at all.

It’s far from awful, it’s just… Meh. Should have had more ponies. Also could have ended in about twenty minutes, there’s a lot of filler. And the prom is pretty much a carbon copy of the gala. Basically, if NMM had shown up at the Gala, that’s EXACTLY what that scene is, except with Sunset Shimmer.
 
It’s not all gloom and doom, thought. Twilight’s ineptitude as a human never ceases to be hilarious, and there are plenty of little moments where you’re like “holy shit, I got that!” but it’s overall kind of bad. The horrible character designs are also physically cringeworthy. The princesses had me covering my eyes.

That’s pretty much all I was expecting. =P I fucking love villains like that. It’s why Diamond Tiara is so awesome
