Yeah, Britain as a whole is completly full of itself from my experiance. I usually think that the typical Englishman (the kind that goes to the pub every single day and watches rugby riligeously) can usually be described as a stereotypical hillbilly, except that they drink tea.

No, this is the kind of person that you think would be majority of haters, that is someone who sees MLP as creatively bankrupt from the start and hates everything about FiM.
That only seems to come out rarely. What I see the most are people that talk about the show, but not really about the show, just the fanbase and how terrible it is.
Also, one of the comments: “annoying squeaky-voiced Americans.” And British people call US ignoramuses when most of the show is made in Canada BY CANADIANS.
