@Evowizard25
The more I think about it, if the main protagonist was such an asshole, like say Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes, I think the comic would make a lot much more sense……
@TheAbridgenator
Well, that’s kind of why I never really got into the comics. I don’t like putting such hatred on a, for the most part, nice kid for no reason other then to make bad things happen for laughs.
@Evowizard25
I think the main reason even his friends - including Linus, who was pretty explicitly characterized as charitably Christian - didn’t do much for him is because the thesis of the comic precludes some degree of common sense. Charlie Brown must suffer, even if logically it would not happen.
Yeah I always felt sorry for Charlie Brown when he was down. Quite a few of the other characters were just jerks, and even the nice ones didn’t do much, if anything, to help Charlie.
@Cucaracha2
I think all of us, in some capacity, had some manner of solidarity with Charlie Brown; the only difference is the scale of suffering which he suffered.
…….I love Charlie Brown, in the Platonic Way, of course, no, seriously, I can identify with that kid, considering my childhood was to an extent like a mirror reflection of my own, and if it wasn’t for him, cartoons, video games, and most important my parents and family, I’d definitely have considered suicide in 2005……
In some of the earlier comics, Charlie Brown was kind of an asshole.

Why is that?

Glad you’re still with us, though! :D
Made that very joke miself! :D
Paper is made from trees… So its a cannible too?
Put the sign out of reach of the tree but where everyone can see, but like I said Lucy would likely take them down.
“Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned by example. Never put paper signs in front of paper eating trees. :D”
It ate the sign. Which also fell on my head.
Oh I see…
But you could just put a sign up…
Wait, Lucy would most likely take them down jest to be a biyay.
Yes. And then they get sent to me like dear dear Twily’s letters. On my head.
But that tree eats the kites….
Odd, considering his head is a circle. :3
Well, Fluttershy would probably like him, though the odds aren’t 100%. I personally feel sorry for the bald bastard. XD
To be fair, if he tried to do it the tree would probably chew on his spine till he wound up a quadriplegic.
Yes I do! Cause I grew it and he keeps getting his kite lodged in it! Who do you think has to take them out!? It sure ain’t him!
Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to grow a cannibalistic tree?!!! DO YOU?!!!!
