Yeah, that’s basically what it’s all about I’d wager. Blood type compatibility in relationships is also a big deal in Japan, like horoscopes here in the US, but on steroids. They probably don’t want to insult Japanese fans who are big Twilight fans, who may be devastated by finding out Twilight’s blood type is incompatible with being his/her friend.

(fun fact: Japan believes blood type determines personality, a debunked theory they got from the Nazis; many Japanese companies do discriminate based on blood type)
