Description

In case you’re wondering where that quote came from (or who Saltonstall is), both originated from an early gameplay trailer of Bioshock Infinite, which unfortunately didn’t make the final cut.

I don’t know what this meme is called, if anyone knows feel free to tag it.

Stalonstall doesn’t appear in person in the final game, though he was mentioned early on in idle conversation, and his scalp was nailed to a board. (with a full head of hair, to boot, despite him being balding in the early trailer)

FFS, it has been said so many times before, and I am gonna say it again. When they released this trailer, neither 2K nor Irrational said ANYTHING about this one being a gameplay-trailer or showing scenes from the game. It was hyped up to a gameplay trailer by the guys on machinima and people who apparently can’t read properly, though.
But it wasn’t more than the very first trailer we saw, you know, where Booker does this little “sight-seeing tour” on an airship… But granted, that trailer was incredibly badass. Probably the most batshit insane thing I ever saw in gaming.
But implementing such things into a game would require either a tremendous amount of scripting, or turning it into a game on rails, with 90% of your actions being quicktime events. And don’t forget the ridiculously cranked up “Unreal Engine 3”, what the trailer definetly wasn’t running on, even though they said the final game would before that.

I got bioshock infinite just so I could play this epic scene from the trailer. And what do they do? THEY COMPLETELY REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME!
