It’s funny how the scene this picture was based off of turned out to be the very first hint in the series that the Mane 6 started to need the Elements of Harmony less and less, at least in the physical sense, to combat the most recent threat. Even if, as is the case in that scene and this picture, the recent threat in question is the resurfacing of a villain they faced before. (Which, in the case of the scene this picture is based off of, is Nightmare Moon.)
