I’m not the only one who disagrees with the animation. There are several out there who find it boring, to even downright offensive in some cases. :/
 
Also, please tell me what makes her such a “splendid” character. Was it the part about appreciating Luna’s night? Because fyi, despite what you might think the stars are out 24/7, the only difference is what we see. That part of the movie made absolutely no sense scientifically other than for “Luna I can relate to you!”, which is fairly sue-ish. Imagine if some colt out of nowhere who was loyal to others came up to Rainbow Dash and said “Rainbow, I can relate to you!” It would be fairly OP for the colt, considering he’s putting himself on-level with someone with the element of Loyalty.

There was snow before Snowdrop, genius. There was snow covering her school and coming from the clouds. Also, this is a post parodying that sappier than a Charlie Brown special animation. Your sentiments are not wanted nor appreciated here.
 
As said below, she was a huge ruse just to make people pity her in just a few minutes of animation time, despite having little to no character depth. The only thing she deserves to be remembered as is a 14-minute special of somebody’s mary sue OC.

There is snow on Snowdrop’s grave. Even 1000 years later, she did make a difference. Every person, whether they make a difference of not, dies eventually. Perhaps the snow is in honor of Snowdrop, like putting a light bulb on Edison’s grave. The grave should read something other than “dead”, though. How about, “Here lies Snowdrop, who brought a gift of snow to the world” or something like that?

Allow me to present something most Snowdrop fans don’t even bother to think about:
 
Did you know that Snowdrop had highly negative tones throughout the whole story, not just with the other students bullying her, but with her own suicidal/“I wish I was dead because I have a disability”-like statements? Do you have any idea how extremely offending this is to anyone who has ever lived with someone blind?
 
It is honestly extremely hard to see someone struggle with just their disability alone, much less whenever they also feel self-destructive thoughts and argue their own living rights against their loved ones. Also, the bullying element added in for drama/empathy drives a knife into its realism and the fact all the negativity is pushed onto her blindness is just mockery in its most putrid form. The whole “if only I didn’t have a disability, life would be good” maxim it puts out constantly is morally worse than anything you could try to claim Derpy Hooves has done.

YEAH! It should be preserved. That Snowdrop is pretty much the last representation of that person outside of stories and history books. It’s a national treasure.

I mean no offense to the artists who made Snowdrop and her story, but the biggest emotion I felt was total exasperation and anger when they threw out the very first snowflake ever made. I mean seriously. Why would you even do that?! That is THE first snow flake EVER. That thing is a national treasure.
