Yeah, of course it’s fun.
*head explodes
Yeah, of course it’s fun.
We might, I dunno. She can be annoying and clueless sometimes, but I can deal with that.
…wat
This is exactly what I’m talking about. Getting a black eye and a busted lip is fun? Dude…you and Dash apparently would get along just fine.
the point is that OF COURSE having fun is worth getting hurt. getting hurt is half the damn fun! who hasn’t gotten in fights with their friends just for the hell of it??
what point am I missing?
#missingthepoint
Tell that to a medical professional.
skinning your goddam knee is not a physical injury.
jesus christ.
are you serious? being willing TO SKIN YOUR KNEE is too competitive?
there’s nothing I can say to this. you have literally gone beyond the limits of satire.
I’m serious. Really is physical injury really worth winning some silly game?
nerds bein’ nerds
“someone willing to get injured if they can win such as when someone playing baseball slides on the base wearing shorts and risks skinning their knee badly. That’s the type of person I see Dash as; her whole purpose for existence is to train for and the compete in some athletic event and her body seems to mean little to her outside the realm of athletic performance like in Read it and Weep when she didn’t seem to care so much about being injured as much as getting back to training.”

So, do you get all your conceptualizations of people from ’80s movies?
More like real life. I saw plenty of people bullied by football players/wrestlers in high school.
I mean, have you EVER talked to anyone that doesn’t have the exact same interest set as yourself?
Every single day I talk to people who have different interests. I have no issues with people who are active and athletic, I am myself as I love biking and most other outdoor activites. What I don’t like is competitive sports especially when played by people who take them seriously. I mean a friendly game of basketball turning into a fist fight over a missed basket or someone willing to get injured if they can win such as when someone playing baseball slides on the base wearing shorts and risks skinning their knee badly. That’s the type of person I see Dash as; her whole purpose for existence is to train for and the compete in some athletic event and her body seems to mean little to her outside the realm of athletic performance like in Read it and Weep when she didn’t seem to care so much about being injured as much as getting back to training.
No, I mean social incompetence in that she doesn’t know how to talk to people.
Yeah, no argument here. Dash is a bit too extroverted and brash when talking to others. She really could use some tips on how to tone down her ego around others.
“Jock to me is the sterotypical football player in his school jacket dating a cheerleader”

“social incompetence in that she has little sense of humility”
No, I mean social incompetence in that she doesn’t know how to talk to people.
Jock to me is the sterotypical football player in his school jacket dating a cheerleader while beating up those he sees as weaker than him for fun and to show dominance. He cares mostly about sports, is very arrogant, can be rather violent at times, and puts others down to make himself look better. While Dash doesn’t beat anyone up, she definitely wants others to feel inferior to her and will do just about anything to accomplish that. She seems to be obsessed with sports and competition rather than AJ who just likes to have fun. In short Dash is kind of a jerk.
Regardless, her social incompetence, awkwardness, and non-functioning mental filter permanently secure her in dipshit territory.
I agree about social incompetence in that she has little sense of humility but awkwardness and “non-functioning mental filter”? I’m not even sure what you mean by that.
You’d be right, if “jock” was a word that had an actual definition.
It’s not. It’s a word made up by people with a victim complex to turn people who have different interests from them in to faceless others.
Dash isn’t a jock. Hating losing doesn’t make you a jock, nor does it make you hyper-competitive.
Regardless, her social incompetence, awkwardness, and non-functioning mental filter permanently secure her in dipshit territory.
I guess to an extent you’re right. AJ enjoys sports but unlike Dash she looks like she’s just doing it for fun while Dash thinks that a silly game of horseshoes is the biggest deal in the world “I hate losing” hence her hyper-competitiveness which is one of the characteristics of the jock attitude.
It means you enjoy playing sports.
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic. There are a lot of lesbian tomboys out there.
The more this goes on, the more I’m absolutely certain they couldn’t possibly make Dash gay ever.
