I am just surprised that there are that many artists that ran this concept to the ground already. I keep a watch on the Sonic tags not to downvote, but to find a few rare gems of decent and original artwork.
 
I have a better understanding of those comic book professionals at conventions and art schools telling students, who think they have talent at just drawing majority of Sonic or Batman in their portfolio, that their work needs improvement because there are hundreds of others that did that already (and a helluva lot better). Always try to push your game, my personal motto.
 
You could always do a great Wolverine cover action shot, but the guy who gets the company attention is the one who could draw a two-page story of Logan sitting in a coffee shop in civvies having tea with Aunt May and carrying her shopping bags. Visual story telling.

I’m always sort of surprised by just how much people downvote anything sonic related. Granted I’m just as surprised that there is still a sonic fandom at all.
