First of all, though MLP is a pioneer in large-scale quality Flash cartooning, it is still subject to the medium and, importantly, to deadlines. Asset reuse is very common, as in the case with copy-pasted background pony crowds. As such, it should not be a surprise whenever it arises.
 
In this case, Blueblood’s cutiemark was probably designed to fit with his deceivingly urbane appearance and perhaps symbolized the “star” treatment he demanded. Daring Do’s likewise fits her color scheme and alludes to a compass legend on a map; it’s bright appearance evokes liveliness, adventure, and the fabulous treasures she seeks.
 
In other news, unclouded skies are blue.

Lazy? Exactly how much effort do you expect them to put into something like designing a cutie mark for an extremely minor character like Blueblood? Daring Doo’s mark makes sense, but you can’t expect every pony to have an extremely distinct mark from each other.

Writers don’t design the visuals much. So you’re wrong.

Minuette and Dr. Hooves have the same Cutie Mark.
 
Winter Wrap Up had a half-dozen ponies with bubbles as Cutie Marks.

calling people on their bullshit is hella adictive.

BB’s mark is a star, a small light in the night sky. It symbolizes his (proclaimed family) connection to Celestia. Several of the nobles at the gala had astronomy marks for likely the same reason.
 
DD’s mark is, as stated by several others, a compass because she’s an explorer.

….its called a Stella Maris. Daring Do has it because she’s an explorer, and its placed on a compass. Blueblood has only the Stella Maris itself, so his special talent could be anything from map or navigation related to astronomy or something more obscure (since its not actually that odd a shape).
 
Its like suggesting some sort of weird connection between Bon Bon and Twist because they both have sweets on them or something.

There’s noticing a similarty and then there’s trying to find a connection to them. The only similarity between these two is that they are compass roses.
