It’s a voice actor joke. Emiri Kato, Fluttershy’s VA, did Momoko/Hyper Blossom’s voice. Not to mention PPGZ’s Blossom was a ditzy tokusatsu fan with a sweet tooth so at best, she’d be paired up with Pinkie.

Also blossom would be better paired with Twilight or Applejack methinks.
