It’s royal purple, the color that dark age and medieval royalty would wear because it was extremely expensive to produce. The dye was created from crushed snail shells and the purple colored ones were very rare.
Saying a purple background and gold fleur-de-lis is a Saint’s Row reference is like saying a plumber wearing blue overalls is a Mario reference.
