I think Faust did see Equestria Girls and was pretty alright with it. Although I think she just hates the toy line, and it being more of Hasbro’s “WE’RE MAKING TOYS FOR THE KIDS!”.
 
Which, while stupid looking…we gotta remember the demographic the show’s toward to.

She quit the show by her own choice to pursue other animation projects, and goals. She could’ve stayed on the show if she wanted to, but she didn’t. It was her own choice. She wasn’t forced off of it. There’s really nothing to feel sorry for….

To be fair, she never said she hated “Equestria Girls.” That’s just a conclusion everyone jumps on thanks to this Twitter she posted in regards to the doll prototypes. >>335041 (All she said was “………” as if to imply she either doesn’t know what to say, or is at a loss for words.)  
And keep in mind alot of bronies hated the pony toys’ designs, (especially pink Celestia) and they still like the show.  
I don’t think Faust has an opinion on the E.G. movie itself, because she never saw it, and said she doesn’t watch the show anymore, and doesn’t want to step on the current staff’s toes.
 
I’m just tired of people pretending their “goddess” Lauren Faust has the same opinions, as themselves, and/or try to use her to justify their complaining/hatred in regards to E.G., Twilicorn, S3, and other “touchy” subjects regarding the show.
 
Even Sibsy poked fun at the dolls, and she worked on E.G. >>362892

I think it’s more sad that she had to stop working on the show. She very clearly still loves her ponies, and misses them dearly.
 
If anything, it seems like moving on from ponies was one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do.
 
My heart truly goes out to her. :(

People are still butthurt over Twilicorn, and E.G., and still calling people that have no problem with those things, or disagree with them “Hasdrones?” …Seriously?

I thought it was Twilicorn, who was turned to stone for being too much of a Mary Sue.
