“LIKE OH MY GOSH, BRAD! I need you! I need you so lumping bad, Brad! Brad! Brad! Don’t ignore me Brad! I know you can hear me! Glob! Just come back to me, Brad! Come back soon!”

He was created solely for an existing character to have a crush on. No, the writers minimizing his presence was result, not the cause, of his blandness.
And when did I say being a teenage girl automatically equated to shallowness?
@Trickquestion
Except that LSP is shallow because she’s a teenage girl, and Brad is shallow because he’s bland and poorly written. Two different kinds of shallowness that don’t really go together.
“STOP CALLING ME BRAD!”
MIND=BLOWN
There was no “maybe I should stay here to be with my beloved” thinking by Twilight.
Nor was there a “I shall go with you, my love” moment by Flash.
Almost every time I’ve seen the interdimensional love thing done, it involves a character who thinks over staying behind for their love.
The only thing that Twilight would have stayed behind for was the protection of her new world.

(yes I know his name is Flash Sentry, which is a fine name, but to me he will always be Brad… at least some of the time, like now)
She is ready, Brad. Isn’t it obvious?
