Wargraymon still makes more sense if you look at the progression oh the forms.

Also, you want to talk about random anything with digimon, look at the Garurumons, in champion he’s a hugh wolf, in ultimate he’s a little less then half the size and a werewolf, then in mega he’s bigger the champion and not werewolf-like anymore.
