>never heard of those i always called them dragoponies

That’s pretty much a good name to refer to them.There’s also “Draconies” like Carnifex named them.

The truth is,that there’s no hybrid of Horse and Dragon in mythology (at least,not that I know of).I understand people trying to use the Kirin as a mean to identify a dragon and a horse hybrid,but that doesn’t mean that they are still wrong.

This fandom has proved to be rather creative so why not follow Carnifex idea of a Dragon/Pony hybrid and leave the Kirin alone?

And you are correct.Kirin are pretty much a different species apart.

@SeraphimDawn

Karkadann have curved horns,so I guess it could work.

@Amber
never heard of those i always called them dragoponies, hehe google doesnt help whit the dragon thing.

i see though. but it would kinda be mold-breaking, the other sub-species look like a simple varition, weather kirin makes me think of difrent species altogether.

“Karkadann: Unicorns with some rhino features”
that shit sounds so coooool!

Not deers,but Kirins.

Most people in this fandom have this misconception that Kirin are the spawns of a pony and a dragon when they are actually,in essence,more like chimeras,creatures that are composed by more than two animals.

Unfortunately,that misconception has spread through the fandom.They have being used as an excuse for making Sparity offsprings that end up being wrongly called Kirin.

Few Artists know the real difference though,like this fella over here >>233390 Not only knows what a true Kirin is,but he actually invented his own fan Pony/Dragon hybrid creatures while leaving the actual basic mythological concepts alone.

Karkadann: Unicorns with some rhino features.

So anyway I know we can take all of this as canon or not if we want to (personally,I’ll believe it’s not) but I like the idea of the Bat Ponies as a sub-race of the pagasi and that Earth Ponies and Unicorns

Pegasi -> Bat Ponies
Earth Ponies -> Crystal Ponies

As for the Unicorns,I was thinking about the Deers,but something wasn’t right,Kirins were soooo out of the question,for various reasons(one of them being that this fandom have ridiculed them a lot)then I got nothing…and then it hit me:

Karkadann.

Can Karkadann work as a Unicorn sub-race? Even Sombra kinda looks like one.

@paluzna
Yeah, but it’s one of the few dinosaur related fictions that work well that I know.

And the science and build up of the Kra is fascinating. I really want to see more of their culture. {Been looking for the third. It’s a problem when nobody cares much for a series. Its almost impossible to find the books.}

@Princess♠Molestia
Dinosaur Wars. A surprisingly underrated Sci-Fi series. (Three books so far. Haven’t been able to get my hands on the third.)

Pretty much a group of astronauts come across a space station on the moon, turn it on, and it turns out a race known as the Kra. {Raptorians} Had set up a base there in case they went extinct. Now they want to take Earth back…That’s how the first one goes anyways. {Pretty basic info, but they are very good books. I get sad and agitated that I keep having to explain it to everyone. It’s a great series!}
