Hey, I can’t judge them for that. Most of them just LOVE both Tidus bleh and Squall so…I can’t say I’m all that surprised.

The funny thing is that Vaan is actually an extremely popular character in Japan, to the point where Square chose him to represent XII in Dissidia 012 because of fan outcry.

Yeah that’s the problem I had with it really…couldn’t get over that…somethings you just can’t get over ya know? Like Assassins Creed, couldn’t get over the fact that you are basically doing NOTHING, and effecting NOTHING! Reliving memories…ohh yay…this means I’m not even an assassin…which is what the trailers AND the commercials said to us. That we would be an assassin, not some random dude reliving the memories of his ancestors through a matrix, and with no sense of freedom or choice…yay…but I could rant about that for days and I’m WAY off topic now.
 
So yeah, it’s just one of those things that is CONSTANTLY thrown in my face making me lose interest faster then you could time an egg.

What’s so bad about FF12? I played it, and it was a pretty damned great game, with an interesting combat system, a large world to explore, and a good story that puts a focus on the conflicts between nations rather than the standard “saving the world from some immensely powerful force of evil.”
 
The only real problem I have with the game is Vaan, who serves no purpose in the story except being a stand-in for the player.
