This is the cover of Twilight Sparkle’s book from the opening of Season One, Episode One. There are many further pages inside - the whole story is in there. (The pages inside are posted as separate images, ‘cause I don’t know how to make them all one page-turnable file).
 
I hand-lettered the entire epic tale in artist’s quality sepia ink and hand-painted all the images on Rising Stonehenge paper. My paints are artist’s quality acrylics, including reflective illuminating paints, Minnesota Pipestone, actual Lapis Lazuli, and other quality pigments.
 
I hand-sewed and hand-bound the book using traditional bookbinding techniques and covered it with Cave Paper (which is hand-made in Minneapolis, MN).
 
This book was a complete blast to make, ’though many days turned to nights as I painted 14 or more hours straight on through!
 
The volume is now on the road with The Traveling Pony Museum, making its first stop at BronyCon Summer 2012!
