Surprisingly, it did predict some things, as an article I linked to pointed out. (Like touchscreens, mini-computers, and such.)

The “nostalgic” ‘80s cafe’ is especially funny in hindsight now considering all the nostalgia over the ’80s & ’90s people have nowadays. (Also, anyone for a game of “Wild Gunman?”)

…I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen her fly.

About BTTF: They were my favorite movies as a kid, including part two.

It’s reality that’s disappointing me. It’s one year away from 2015 and I still don’t have my hoverboard or my Mr. Fusion. What a ripoff!

Yeah, but some still felt that way, even long before 2010. I don’t care though, it’s still a good movie, in fact, I like the whole BttF trilogy.

Let’s not forget other movies/games, and stuff cut “futuristic” years close to. According to “Chrono Trigger” Lavos should’ve killed us all by now back in 1999. ;)

Maybe the reason being that it’s considered the black sheep, Is just that “Well, Hey it’s now 2014 and we don’t have that”? I know it’s a fictional movie, But I felt differently about it in the 1990s than I do now; 2015 seemed so far off back then but I didn’t even consider it at the time, And I wasn’t even nine years old.

I liked BttF part 2 personally. I don’t get why it’s the “black sheep of the trilogy.” Yeah, yeah, I admit the “future” of 2015 was exaggerated, but while we might not have flying cars, or self-drying clothes yet, the movie did predict a few things ironically.
(Another thing that list missed was ’80s/’90s nostalgia. Like the “‘80s nostalgia cafe” in the movie.)

What I liked best about BttF2 wasn’t just the hilariously campy futuristic scene, (which they said was intentional, ‘cause they didn’t want to do “dark/edgy” futures like most movies did at the time) but also the darker “alternate present,” and then cleverly going back to the events of the first movie, and seeing them again this time from a different angle, and perspective.
So it had 3 different time periods to explore in the movie, which was what I liked about the second movie.

It’s like a cartoon.

And now it’s 2014. I like to imagine that the events in BTTF III cancelled many of the smaller events in BTTF II. But is that a smart thing to do?
