You sir are are a prophet
Ah.
I think the episode might have been a two-parter that was edited together into a 45-minute movie for one particular VHS release… at least, that’s how I remember seeing it…
Now, to be perfectly honest, I don’t actually remember any of the details of the story. And I’d rather NOT remember, to be perfectly honest.
The Haunted Mask was the 11th book, but the first episode of the series (the series didn’t do episodes in order of the books, even missing certain books like Night of the Living Dummy 1)
I believe “The Haunted Mask” was the first book, as well as the first episode of the TV series. But for some reason, I was thinking that, rather than being an episode of the TV series, the adaptation of “The Haunted Mask” was actually a made-for-TV movie. I know that the adaptation had a followup to it even though the book never did to my knowledge…
Also, I never actually read the books, but as a kid, what little I saw of the TV show scared me (as it was probably supposed to). Of course, if I watched it now, I’d probably laugh at the bad acting and cheesy special effects.
I used to like watching the TV shows…
Best quality intro I could find
Yeah, he started with a series of Horrorland books that were essentially sequels that wrapped around with a continuing story set around the park, and later spun off into other series like Goosebumps Hall of Horrors, and the latest being Goosebumps Most wanted.
Wow.
I hadn’t seen any since 2000…
They do. R.L Stine’s been writing them again since at least 2009.
Say Cheese and Die!
You and me both.
