I agree.
Another “Look Before You Sleep” or “Fall Weather Friends” is needed where she can play off another character to deal with her own faults.
An episodes of slightly-immature AJ would be best. Applebuck Season was the only sign we really saw of that (some in Look Before You Sleep as well) and it was interesting.
An AJ episode which doesn’t involve her family, her being the protagonist alongside another character or a trait that has already been solved is good enough for me.
Urghhhh… anything but her family. For the love of [insert deity], can we have an episode about Applejack and NOT her family?
Big Mac and Granny Smith just dont work well with AJ chemistry-wise. I’m fine with AJ and AB but GS and BM are just tying AJ down because of their very characters (i.e. Granny Smith cannot keep up with AJ’s adventurous character ergo AJ is pretty much grounded and slowed down).
The AJ/Pinkie S4 ep seems to already be about AJ’s family in some way. There’s no reason outside of laziness for not NOT writing about her family again.
But yeah, every episode after S1 about AJ has been about her family and it definitely does not look hopeful based on that track record

Well despite what all those stubborn people say (see what I did there), there’s only been one episode where Applejack’s been stubborn and haven’t accepted help so it’s quite safe to bet we aren’t going to get that one again since it’s been done already.
Family centered episode though is a bit more likely to happen I’m afraid due to AJ’s love for her family and all. Not too optimistic but hopefully the writers can surprise us pleasantly.
My thoughts exactly…
I’m just hoping that we will get:
a. A adventurous/fun AJ episode.
b. A return to her slightly less mature self like in S1 (I just think she’s gotten too ‘grown up’ thus as a result, rather boring)
c. An episode from HER perspective about HER. Not her family, friends. Just her for once.
AKR is probably the safest bet. Corey Powell could be a surprising… surprise like in her last two episodes.

Fun Fact: AJ is the second most commonly seen pony after Twilight. She’s the straight man (which is a vital role in any ensemble), as well as the Team Mom (also vital).
