More than likely, zebras would have white, grey, and black on their skin instead of the colours Earthlings are accustomed to seeing on who zebras represent… ‘Cause they’re not entirely human as evident by the presence of magick within themselves.
I’ve only just started reading the book, so, I don’t yet know if they name the species. Albeit, I don’t quite know if they’ll be able to circumvent that detail in the future of the series. :T

Coming back to the changeling thing.
Yeah, I’d assume Changelings would become Humans too. I’m going to assume they’d be foreigners, and marked with one, or more, of these things.
I would also assume Zebras, and anything else sentient and pony-like would become humans, and also be foreigners.
Since when does Chrysalis care about anyone other than herself/other changelings? And hey, Photo Finish shouldn’t have been a student, either, and yet she is.
Chrysalis should be a teacher….
