My Little Pony: Friendship is making faces so adorably sad you have no choice but to conform to their will :P
In this little series Im putting together, Fluttershy is having trouble keeping her grades up in Gym Class and therefore must seek the help of Rainbow Dash for some private tutoring in order to get her scores back up.
As with my previous comic, Ive once again given the characters normal skin tones and have changed their clothes so that they look a little more up to date, even though RD is wearing her PE kit through most of this.
Ive had complaints about Rainbow Dashs dialogue before when it comes to my writing of her, Id just like to quickly point out that Im not a 17 year old American tomboy, I am in fact a British railway artist whos just entered his 20s, so I havent the faintest idea how American girls of this age group speak (apart from what Ive gathered from the show), so please bear with me on that. :)
Other than that, enjoy this new silly series :)
This is better. As to Cherilee’s word balloons the lighter tone in her hair would be better to use. Contrast is important in making things readable. I only see a need for color coded word balloons if a lot of characters are talking at the same time in a single panel. In this case they are isolated word balloons and the color filling in not really necessary. I know it looks nicer to do that but you have to balance readability with the art to make comics a seamless and easy experience for your readers. And try to keep the text size consistent. Even if it means reducing the “amount” of text to fit word balloons. The common adage among cartoonists is show not tell.
@HooMee
said about panel #6 and it will be acceptable.
Also, mind that the word ballons are not too dark for the text. Cheerilee’s is just borderline. What would Luna’s be? Totally dark?
Negative vote removed, but no ups given yet.
Voted down for now.
Apparently so is effort.
Genetics are a bitch to some… <3<
You show up, dress right, and give a fuck about what you’re doing.

Wow, those three parameters really say something about my classmates.
