Headcanon has since been revised, new headcanon is that Scootaloo’s birth parents are alive but they gave her up for adoption at birth.

I would like to add that this is how they themselves were raised, long ago, back when they were young and, you know, not dead.
My new headcanon is that a ghost of Appleblooms ancestor is behaving as a poltergeist and following Applebloom around. The ghost thinks that it means well and trys to stir Applebloom and her friends in the correct direction, but the only way that it knows how to interact with them is to pour tree sap over the poor fillies when ever they disapoint the ghost.
Added the “This will end in tears and/or death and/or covered in tree sap” because it’s basically “This won’t end well” plus CMC (not exactly but you get my point) and I like the tag.
Sweetie Belle may have managed to kill a pet rock at some point, given some of the failures we’ve seen from her.
