No, I think it was the “weren’t you the one that tried to hurt me with goodbye”-line that failed Sunbutt, here. Didn’t really fit to say the least, and that probably just pissed Moonbutt off rather than intimidate or guilt or whatever was going on until that point.

It would’ve been brilliant plan, had Celestia lived in a musical. Alas, she merely resides in a cartoon world full of magical talking ponies. She should probably have thrown them, or something. It would’ve been a little more effective that way.
