There are many reasons why she got this change, but let me list off a few of the major ones:

Her old design was based too much off of my fursona, GL. I didnt want Cocoa to be just GL in pony form, so this helps to differentiate that.
Her old design didnt match up with her name aside from the cutie mark, there wasnt anything cocoa/chocolate-related about her.
The princess motif allows me not only to do a little more with her than being a lil glutton, but allowed for a more plausible situation on how her appearance was allowed to change.

Thats the few, what I also want to address is that she will change eventually too in the chubby kingdom, just finding the right time to do so~
I hope I dont scare people off with the change and hope that everyone will love the new Cocoa as much as the old one ;)
