Derpbibooru’s existence is much appreciated really, I was on it’s predecessor and when the site went down I was very sad and depressed… But then this site came along and I sang my Halleluja!

I would put up with the fandom drama if Molestia would show me her plot upclose.

Basically, you either learn to hate the people you are running the site for (and become Knighty) or you learn to not only ignore but actually not read the comments section, and you make a fake e-mail for people to contact you and never read that either.

I’ve no idea who this guy is and don’t care. PLOT!

It honestly sounded like he was at the end of his rope at the time. He later apologized for his rash reaction, and he seemed sincere about it.
 
He calmed down quite a bit after quite a few people offered some kind, comforting words and advice.
 
I really can’t blame him for the sheer volume of drama he must deal with on a daily basis. (BTW, thank you Derpibooru mods!) I imagine it really wears on you on a level some of us can’t appreciate.

I like the “Refresh Comment Pane” button because if I hadn’t clicked on it before I posted my comment, I would’ve just basically repeated what professor_of_hoers said.

I don’t care about him leaving, but the way he did it, threatening to leave if we didn’t “stop the drama”, was just in very poor taste. He didn’t even have to make the post, seeing as EQD is….EQD, not his personal blog, but he did anyways.

It’s not highly avoidable when you maintain a site as large as EqD and have to deal with the type of people that post and email there.
 
People are very cruel and vindictive though. While there are some that say “I wish you well” or “sorry to hear that” most people are going to yell at you and call you names for just stating your feelings.
 
Of course, being as noticeable as he is on a large site people are going to notice if he’s gone and want to know the reason anyway. So it wasn’t unreasonable for him to express his reasoning.
 
If I quit the fandom or something, nobody would care or notice but if I was a noticeable and active mod on a site like EqD people would probably ask what’s going on.

I believe people are mad at him for leaving on such silly reasons. Drama is highly avoidable, and not a main part of our lives.

No, JJ is giving a gift to a cool, hard working guy who had a moment of stress overtake him. He had worked on ASK MOLESTIA and EqD and has done alot of work for the fandom.
 
Of course, people will just get mad at him because he spoke his mind after having to deal with endless amounts of drama. :/

So now we’re giving gifts to the guy that ragequit the fandom in a storm of insults after threatening to leave “if the drama doesn’t stop” ?
