Wow, 15 years. You serious anyone could be angry about the eye colour of some fictional cartoon hedgehog for 15 bloody years? Humanity…
Or someone may change their opinion on an episode after having had time to think about it more and read about others’ reasons on it.
‘Sonic Fans’
Okay, problem number one…
“Who has the energy for that kind of shit?”
Someone has invented a way to power his house with internet negativity? :)
@Lurks-no-More
A friend had this to say about fandoms; when nerds are happy, they’re really, really fun. When nerds are unhappy, they’re fucking awful.
Truly, though, I’ve noticed that it’s always the same few people always arguing about the same thing. Once I set filters to ignore all the drama threads, the “problem” mostly evaporates. I’m not sure what people are hoping to accomplish with the constant arguing about the same thing. I mean, in the 266 days since we had the news about Princess Twilight Sparkle absolutely confirmed, I see 833 posts tagged with “alicorn drama”. That’s about 3.13 pointless drama threads a day. I mean, one thread is too much. Who has the energy for that kind of shit?
Yeah, anyway, I suppose if one endeavors to avoid drama threads, and simply avoid the temptation to respond to anyone, suddenly “the fandom” feels like a much happier place. It’s working for me. :)
Get some P wings.
In general, I dislike the claims that one fandom or another is somehow deeply worse than others; any sufficiently big and active fandom will have its trolls and nutcases and harassers and what-have-you.
Everything I’ve ever seen, heard, read and experienced about the Sonic fandom, however, suggests to me that it really is somehow deeply worse than others. :p
Already done.
I assume you’re missing everything in the comments.
At least then the arguing will be about something different…
Well I’m guessing come the Se4 premier the vocal minority will find something new ( or old ) to rage on about ( “This ruined my fan fiction”, “The official Equestria history goes against my headcanon”, Twilight is still a Alicorn Princess”, etc. etc. ) and then the arguing will start all over again.
Honestly I wish people would just watch the show and not make a big deal over everything.
Yeah, the lack of new material is causing people to tire of arguing.
I’m not mad, exactly, but I still find it frustrating. For the most part, things are as they were. The only difference is that pretty much everything there was to say about this has been said, so many people have simmered down about the issue (or abandoned ship completely).
bad ep. for some.
I’ve heard there are fans of Sonic still mad that his eye color changed from…whatever to whatever. Which apparently happened 15 years ago or something.
Just going off what I heard.
I never said that it wasn’t bad. But what’s the point in staying mad for over half a year over it? That’s a long time to stay mad about something that most of us will look back at and laugh about five years from now.
Become a seraph.
To be honest, it would kind of be deserved backlash. Not to the extent that some would probably take it, but still deserved nonetheless.
If I remember correctly, they get backlash for making simple jokes. And breathing.
