And someone just did the same with Luna. That darker skin tone is way too distracting - at least with all the others, while wacky colors, they’re all on the lighter side and thus not glaringly off.
How would that make them look any more “visually off” than they do as ponies? By human standards, the EQG characters already look visually off with their blue/purple/green/etc. skin tones.
Between her, Big Mac, and Cheerilee, who all have dark coats, they played with their EQG tones as to keep the same dark skin would make them stand out as visually off.
That bothered me as well. I doubt she would have looked all that bad. Hmm…I think I might recolor a vector and see just how that DOES look.
Really, something is fucked up with that.

Having vectored the EQG, the shape’s wrong all over, but like look at the color of the skin outline - way too dark. I have to wonder why they had to redraw Luna for this.
She’s probably wearing pony ears.
I mean, look at dash, her head and eyes are a lot bigger than Luna’s.
And why does Luna have ears on the TOP of her head?
