Okay. Granted. A logical argument.
That being said, the artist sneaking her in IMHO was a master stroke.
If we’re to take Trixie out of her function as a 2-D antagonist and her function she was programmed for as an aseope villain for Twilight to overcome, then we have to give her a REASON for being the way she is.
If she was a spoiled brat, she wouldn’t be traveling around Equestria living from one show to the next and wouldn’t have been reduced to doing something that had nothing to do with her special talent to support herself.
The idea that Sunset planted the seed of Trixie becoming the way she is adds depth to the world.
Trixie is a freakin’ UNICORN whose special talent is STAGE MAGIC in a world full of sorcerers, arch-mages, wizards, etc, that isn’t going to leave you with much self esteem, in particular if you catch the notice of Celestia’s chosen one, who then asks what a stage magician is doing at Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns.
Trixie IMHO is so arrogant because in her mind she’s EARNED IT.
And after her life was destroyed following Boost Busters, she had NOTHING LEFT but hating Twilight, because she NEEDED to focus her anger and hate on SOMEONE, and ever admitting that maybe, just maybe, some things that have happened to her was HER OWN fault, would mean in her mind admitting to her tormentors that they were right and that she is not anything.
Because it wasn’t her the one that made that image. Whoever she asked to make these images sneaked her in there.
He doesn’t like Equestria Girls?
Then why did he have Sunset Shimmer cameo?
Read it in a post on his DA journal. Why you no sequel?
Now this may be a hot button reason to not do a sequel, but I’ll do my best to explain. I didn’t like Magical Mystery Cure and what it did. I could just leave it at that, but I’ll continue. Yeah, I’m still butt-hurt about this episode. The idea of Twilight as a princess is everything I was happy MLP wasn’t and because of that it’s just made MLP a lot less fun to me now. With Equestria Girls I didn’t like that either, but at least I can just ignore that movie and pretend it didn’t happen, but with Princess Alicorn Twilight there is no way I can ignore the fact she has wings on her back and sports a lofty title. If you like it, you are not wrong for liking it, perception isn’t reality as they say. I won’t go into the reasons WHY I hated MMC and Princess Twilight as this issue seems to spawn a lot of ruthless debate, but unless they can pull a miracle out of their hat in S4 regarding the concept there is nothing I like about it, and I don’t ever want to have to write about Princess Twilight. Again, if you like it, there is nothing wrong with that.
Where’d you hear that from?
I think Trixie’s also jealous of Twilight and her friends as well. I mean, the last thing we see of Trixie’s memories is the Mane 6 picture from the theme song.
Well, Edgeworth did mention it as being some sort of sick fetish…
I honestly wish they had revealed what that was or at least vaguely hinted at it.
Alleged pornography
Heh, that’d be pretty funny. I can already imagine Rarity’s horrified reaction.
If there is a sequel, then I want it to have Hobo Nick.
I think the implication is that Trixie simply felt inadequate compared to Twilight. I mean, she’s spent her entire life making a living off of her natural magical talent, only for some nopony to show up and effortlessly perform feats of magic she herself could never even hope to achieve.
Never really explained properly. The black psyche locks were just sort of pushed to the side. I like to think that Trixie was next in the line to apply for the School for Gifted Unicorns, and Twilight’s display set the bar so high that anything Trixie did appeared to fall flat.
