A fair point, but I think most stereotypically socially awkward guys would be saying “Ha! Serves that jock right!” here.
“Let’s just be friends” as some kind of cruel death sentence is a stupid idea that needs to die and stop becoming the kernel of bitterness for lonely, socially awkward guys.
