BBCWell the message was decoded as “BADTIMBERWOLF” so potentially it could lead to something in the show or they just wanted to make another witty who reference.
Their response: “Spoilers! ;)” with a link to a picture of River Song.
Well, now I’m intrigued.
No confirmation as of yet (I’m sure this site would be exploding at any info on the subject if there was any). That entire last sentence is supposed to fall under that “I think” at the start, as in it’s all just my pessimistic buzzkill opinions.
That said, the Dr. Hooves card from Enterplay does have some odd flavor text. Here’s a post I made on it.
Have they confirmed that Scratch is the background pony getting named? Because she was already named in the Equestria Girls song, unless they’re giving her the actual name of “Vinyl Scratch” (with DJ PON-3 being her stage name).
But I still think the Facebook post is purely a nod to the coincidence of MLP season 4 with Doctor Who’s 50th, the BBC’s bump thing is a tip of the hat to those in the likely large overlap of MLP and Doctor Who fans, and the Twitter post is referring to Vinyl Scratch.
Nope. Check the transcript.
No, in “The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000” he was called Time Turner, they SAID it.
I mean a character can have a toy named after them, and still not have a name/be recognized in the script.
In storyboards only though right? And maybe the cards and possibly the first set of toys. But that does not count as an “official name” at all though. Dr Hooves is the only name the modern stuff uses, and even that is’t really official either, I don’t think.
Tell me about it. We finally get a blind bag of him, and he looks like he lost a bet or something…
I know, I was saying in show he is named Time Turner…
>those fucking socks
I hate to break it to you, but he’s named as “Dr. Hooves” in the upcoming “Rainbow Power” line, and is part of a “fan favorites” blind bag pack.
Most likely, but even then he has one, Time Turner, so it’s not him.
Just some conjecture. It’s one thing for the toys to have a name, but even our favorite characters often don’t have official names in the script. They are often simply Background Pony #1, #2, etc. They are either storyboarded in or Layout adds them in. I wonder if this is what she means?
WE SHOULD THROW A PARTY OR SOMETHING! EVERYONE INTO THE TARDIS!
