I could even see her wanting to be a decent shot as part of her job, if guns were available in her setting. Killing is hardly Fluttershy’s preferred course of action, but when your animal friends and/or village and/or self are threatened by a rampaging hydra, you don’t want to have to get close.

i wouldn’t rest an m1a/m14 on its mags, maybe new ones are fine. I had my old one that was handed down to me, rested on the mag, loosened the mag release and misfeeds all day. Might have been because it was one from the 70’s, but still, bipods exist.

So, are you against guns because you aren’t able to conceptualize them as anything but a tool of destruction, or because you want to deny people the ability to defend themselves at range from fully legitimate threats, such as naturally hostile creature weighing more than around 120 lbs? Because that covers almost a full tenth of the total mammalian species on the planet, just to mention.

Ok, my mistake, the 18 inch barrel and different flash hider is part of the Mod 0 package the US armed forces use, it’s not part of the EBR kit, just what the US sticks on it.

The Sage International EBR stock does not replace the barrel. Magpul is right, thats either a M1A SOCOM 16 or II.

So basically the civilian version of the M14. And the EBR kit replaces the barrel, so if you are judging by barrel length then that’s out the window.

DMRs almost ALWAYS fire full length rifle rounds, The M14 DMR being a perfect example firing the very same 7.62x51nato I mentioned earlier.

Thats a big no no in with marksmanship shooting. It can cause POI changes. Nothing should touch the barrel.

And by Western Classification SVD isn’t even a sniper riffle, it’s Designated marksman Riffle, however it fires a full riffle round unlike most DMRs.  
As for my IMHO the sniper rifffle/DMR that would better suit Flutters is 9x39mm VSS, but that’s just an opinion.

Ah the M14, the epitome of the Garand Action legacy. If I had to choose any rifle and pistol combo it would be one of these with EBR furniture and a P14 .45, because 7.62x51nato and double stack M1911s are boss.

The barrel should be on the table with the front of the mag against the edge of the table.

The SVD and G3 are respectively a sniper rifle and a battle rifle. Neither one is a carbine. Only the G3K and MC51 variants of the G3 are carbines.
 
The best carbine is probably the M1 Carbine.
 
The best sniper rifle, depending on what you’re shooting at, is something from Accuracy International, except for police snipers in antiterrorist situations in which case the H&K PSG-1 is probably best. Unless you’re shooting at helicopters in which case it’s the Barrett Light 50. The best battle rifle is arguably the FN-FAL.
