Do you even English?
I second this, I mean it is just a hat and wasn’t it a feminist icon at one point?
Probably. In my experience it’s predominantly female SJW types who talk more about the friendzone and fedoras than anyone else, ironically enough.
That explains why fedora jokes are the core of every “joke” pinkiepony tries to make.
Also, anyone else think OP is likely one of her cronies?
Except such insults thrown at women (and other such lovely terms the term “friendzone”) are more often than not done by males, who fall into said generalizations themselves…only they like to think they make up for it by being “nice guys” (“Herp Gurlz are all sluts who like assholes”) or fancy themselves intellectuals or introverts in the right (ie fucking pretentious). Hence they are easy targets, and it’s their own damn faults.
I’d like to think that some of it is just self-depreciation, and considering how adult males greatly outnumber adult females in the fanbase, you’re bound to get more stuff like this.
Probably because it’s less acceptable to make fun of adult female fans, for whatever reason. Generalize male fans as being ugly, overweight, unshaven, immature social rejects, and you’re the funniest person in the room.
Generalize female fans as being ugly, overweight, unwashed, immature social rejects, and you’ll get odd looks at best, and accusations that you’re a dudebro misogynist at worst.
You never see adult females trying to pass off enjoying MLP as some kind of boundary breaking cultural phenomena as a good deal of bronies did (certainly what the documentary was trying to push).
There’s no matriarchal conspiracy here. Move along.
Because obviously a female would never associate themselves with a franchise made for little girls. Because that totally makes sense.
Fedora’s, like the demographic that wears them are pretentious.
I have to shake my head at them mocking the correlation between an article of clothing and a group when they themselves created said correlation.
