I kind of like that idea. What was the trope? Reformed but Rejected?
Honestly, I can’t bring myself to feel too sorry for her even if that was what happened. I mean, Sunset was the one who acted like she was owed everything. Throwing a book at her own teacher would’ve been one heck of a bridge burning. Even if Celestia welcomed her back, considering how pissed the guard looked in the comic I doubt Sunset would’ve been allowed to forget what a bitch she was.
All I wanted was to put forth an interesting story idea and see where it snowballed from there (if at all).
Yes.
But as with any other show, the writers simply do not have the drive nor the resources to bring themselves to place the same emphasis on consistency that nerds like us do.
Shit takes time, effort, and money, and Larson, McCarthy, and yes, even God-Empress Lauren herself are only humans. Mistakes will be made. We just have to learn to not get hung up on them so damn much.
Didn’t this show become popular because it (initially?) refused to use the fact that it’s for kids as an excuse to hold itself to a lower standard?
Given that the geography can’t stay consistent from one episode to the next, probably.
Or we’re all taking a damn children’s cartoon and its comic spin-off too damn seriously for our own good.
Oh, it’s all out of continuity anyway, so I’m free to erroneously speculate all I want.
Or the chronology it gives is irreconcilable with the show. One of the two.
Only to be greeted by this. Thus making her run back into the mirror and become even more of a hateful bitch.
