They could, but apparently no one told the guy that they installed that sword with the other upgrades that were mentioned earlier in the movie.
@Drefsab
Hear, hear!
or any kaiju/giant robot show/movie.
Others will try to justify it by talking about kaiju blood and what-not, but let’s be honest here: They didn’t use the sword at first because it meant we got to see more of giant robots rocket-punching giant alien monsters in the fucking FACE.
Rule of Cool is the ultimate rule in Pacific Rim.
That was me being sarcastic. Saying toxic once (especially in bold caps) is enough.
Let’s see here. Kaiju blood is poisonous to humans not to mention acidic. Anyone who comes into contact with the blood is exposed to a toxic reaction called “Kaiju Blue” in which they suffocate to death. The best way to fight the Kaiju to prevent this from happening? Either fight them in the harbor, beat them to a pulp without spilling blood or cauterize the wounds.
Nope. Still don’t understand. Could you repeat the word toxic a bajilion more times?
Or maybe they didn’t because it was an add-on installed after Gypsy got repaired that Raleigh didn’t know about.
No they wouldn’t. The Kaiju blood is toxic. Let me repeat that. TOXIC. It would be worse to kill a Kaiju in a populated area with THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE only for them to get flooded by toxic Kaiju Blue.
