I remember this movie. It was goofy but it had its fun moments.
 
I admit, I’d love a MLP-version where the kid goes to Equestria, meets with one of the show’s villains (like Chrysalis in A Canterlot Wedding) and immediately blows their whole plan by telling the Mane Six about it.
 
“Oh, that’s not your old foalsitter. That’s really the Changeling Queen who is impersonating her. She locked Cadance in the old mines beneath the city and has been draining Shining Armor’s love just so she can bring his shield down and let her swarm of Changelings in to attack everyone.”
