It’s like how some actors get hate mail for playing a certain villain in a movie or a show. The way the letters are usually phrased is like the actors themselves were responsible for the characters actions.
I don’t understand how these people can think like that, but it’s pretty funny.
Conversion Bureau is a long running series of fics where Equestria pops up on earth and an ever expanding bubble forces people to transform into ponies or die.
Yes it’s weird.
And yes people tag fic fanon way too seriously, to the point many have their views of the canon characters skewed by completely OOC fanon stuff.

Wheel thing was her going insane due to the amulet. Regardless, there are still dozens of images about it.
Pinecones were a S1-S2 hiatus thing, where one guy requested Trixie eating a pinecone in several livestreams and it caught on from there. It got massively overused in fics as a way for author’s to give a little nod to the fandom.
The wheel thing? I thought she was just screwing with Snips and Snails, plus the fact that the amulet was corrupting her. And where the hell did the pinecone thing come from?!
It did get quite a few images.
And I imagine it’s a lot worse in fics; back in the day, every fic I ever gazed at with trixie in it would mention pinecones. Probably every one know mentions wheels and/or peanut butter.
…I don’t remember like…anyone even mentioning it.
