I wanted to upload an image showing “Ritzy Doo” (is that name going to stick?) and also including Derpy, so when people searched for “Derpy Hooves” and “Rarity Takes Manehattan” (or “spoiler:s04e08”) they’d see an image showing why most people think that’s not really Derpy in the episode. If someone makes a better image that serves the same purpose, please delete this one.

in an obscure corner… under some stalion…. for 2 secs, where no one can see her at all, except the people who complain why she isnt there.
Even meghan said it, some one asked “we are going to see Derpy on Season 4?”

If they’re really not allowing Derpy to appear anymore, I just wish they’d come out and say it. I’d hate it, but it’d be preferable to this perpetual disappointment.
we already know putting derpy there is so hard and inapropied for everybody.

Agreed. I was talking about the show specifically which has to appease the moral guardians. The comics and merchandise get a lot more freedom.
I’m inclined to believe that the comic series, which is full of her, and all the merchandise is acting as her replacement in the show. They really could be building up to a special episode full of background ponies but I just can’t be that optimistic anymore.

If she hasn’t even made a single cameo appearance yet they’re either building up to something big with her or she’s gone for good. I’m seriously inclined to believe the latter at this point.

Yep. This seems to be the case with most familiar background ponies, they seem to be scaling way back. Whether this is to conserve detail to focus on clues towards the story arc or not, we don’t know.
I’m not convinced Derpy’s 100% banned from the show (and yes, I know she’s still in the Friendship Express in the opening), but at this point I think it’s safe to say the S2-like odd and amusing cameos aren’t going to be happening again, despite what was said at the San Diego Comic Con.

There’s some discussion in the comments at the source link (>>514931) about how the colors don’t quite match. I can understand if people don’t find the evidence conclusive and wish to continue believing it’s Derpy, but at this point I’d have to say it isn’t.
