There’s almost nothing in the picture to indicate that the girl is Sweetie Belle. Pink and purple are the color of her mane, not her fur, so for the majority of her clothes to follow that color scheme really throws things off. Her chunkiness and bulky clothes also make her look far older and more matronly than she really is. To sum it up, it’s trying to be too diverse and is failing to communicate because of that.

Nigga why would we try an change a good thing? The community is good as it is, and if bitches don’t like it they can move along.
 
But hey, Imma give a few reasons why this got downvoted. SB be all chunky, which is generally unappealing. Throw in the muted, discordant color palette, and aint a whole lot to like about dis.
 
Then there’s technical issues. Both they eyes lookin all derpy while the eyebrows is thick and discolored. There’s also what imma call the “tumblr blush.” Anytime anybody draws a “diverse” nigga, they make em blush all over the place, particularly on the tip of the nose. It’s a stylistic choice, but shit always looks like a bad discoloration rather than a cutesy finishing touch.
 
Next they got the hamfisted diversity. We got a pone whose coat is white painted brown, though it’s tough to say exactly what kinda brown this be. Do she be a nigga? A sandnigga? A yellow nigga? It’s too vague and, regardless of the artists’s true intentions, conveys a sense that the artist don’t really see SB as muslim, and just did this shit to seem accepting and tolerant or whatever.
 
I won’t deny I’s racist as shit, and seein this be so different from my headcanon is jarring, provoking a negative response. But that ain’t all of it. Playin the race card don’t give nobody a pass on bad art.

Distaste for a religious belief system is not “racism”. If it is exaggerated into irrational hatred, it could perhaps be described as bigotry.
 
At any rate, I really don’t care for Islam, or for things that remind me of Islam. Even if overlook the more violent adherents, the sexism and the strict legalism would still be irksome to me.

-These standards are quite obviously different from pony standards.  
-Pony standards seem to be a parallel to human standards.  
-Dragon standards are obviously not, else this “baby” wouldn’t be walking around by himself, handling checklists, cooking, cleaning and making snarky remarks all the time.
 
Spike may be a baby for dragons, but obviously not for ponies.

And when the species difference ceases to exits baby dragon fails to have any meaning.
