On the contrary. This particular item is an homage to the “Nudie suit”, the classic rhinestone-studded outfits made by the designer Nudie Cohn during the 1960s and 70s. They were worn by just about everyone famous in music and movies at the time, from Gene Autrey to John Lennon.
