Her mellowing out is probably due to her romantic relationship with Twilight and the story arc (that unfortunately will not have a conclusion now) dealing with Molly and her mother.

To be fair she was getting most of the attention lately anyway, and Molly wasn’t living up to her name like she used to. In fact, Molly had mellowed out to the point of being no worst then the coworker everyone seems to have that makes dirty jokes and innuendo. Not that that was a bad thing.

In conclusion, removed to the character which made us laugh and even fantasize about their nonsense and their thoughts could not help but read this shit, “Molly it was just a bitch”, “I do not care when removed” good bitch made me laugh and for me that bale more than a simple replacement? Gamer LUNA? Wtf! for me one take the place of MOLESTIA and the worst was that his dismissal was negligible and no representative from my point of view, “Down with LUNA” / “Up MOLESTIA”

Eh, we’re left with the boring half of the equation. Don’t care about stale video game references and jokes, don’t care about DerpyxLuna.
 
“Gamer Luna” was only interesting when she was flustered or embarrassed at being on the receiving end of whatever Big Sexy happened to be giving.

She’s gonna have to potentially wrestle with Hasbro for that matter. Because, there is no way Hasbro would simply let their cash cows and G4 anime-style which drew in money for them, go just to cater to the demands of some overgrown little girl. Also, PP appears to have lost a great deal of initial following after the failure of the first DWM.

As far as I saw, since most of us knew he was going to be retiring it, and particularly after seeing that DWM supporters had to stoop to faking a chat about it to make it look like THEY were responsible, no one really cared. Plus, we were all too happy about Derpy.

@SeraphimDawn I think this is largely because she quit ponies though. She became far larger/respected in Adventure Time and now Steven Universe fandoms. And it kinda makes sense, since they share some of the humour/storytelling as the non-religious humour in her comic. She got into mlp for random cute pones, but her innate SJW idiocy forced her to find a distaste for pony, so the derpygate drama was actually her last hurrah as she exited the fandom. (with a minor blurp after randomly getting to draw a variant cover out of fucking nowhere.) No such luck with pinkiepony, she’ll be hacking away at ‘bronies’ (or anyone else that likes/started with g4 for that matter) until the end.
